Tile Painting Workshop
This workshop is perfect for groups of friends, family activities and also team building.

Our Studio Ocre & Azul is an old and tradicional portuguese house, located just 15 minute by car between Ericeira and Sintra, in the countryside.

Get ready to dive into the world of Portuguese tiles and create memories that will last forever!
Come and experience a creative and enriching experience where you will have the opportunity to learn various techniques of tile painting, an art form traditionally associated with Portuguese culture.
We have 3 offers:
- Painting 1 tile per person: 35€ (1h30 program)
- Painting 2 tiles per person: 45€ (2h30 program)
- Painting a small tile panel of 4 tiles: 80€ (3h00 program)
Painting 1 or 2 tiles, exploring various techniques such as dripping, painting simple geometric shapes, stenciling and characteristics of Portuguese tiles, organic shapes and scraping.
*Groups from 4 to 20 people maximum.

Venue:
Ocre & Azul Art Studio by João C. Gomes and Sara Teixeira, two visual artist and ceramicist with over 20 years’ experience in art and creativity workshops, intuitive painting and ceramic painting.
What’s included in the workshop:
- Brief presentation – What is a tile?
- 1 or 2, 15x15cm tiles per person
- Guidance on tile painting techniques
- Non-toxic tile ceramic paints.
- Pencils, tracing paper, brushes, auxiliary material.
- Firing the tiles.
Each tile will be fired in a ceramic kiln at around 1020º Celsius. The firing process takes about 2/3 days and only after this time can the tiles be picked up, delivered (as agreed) or sent by post at an additional cost.
This workshop is entirely suitable for beginners and requires no prior technical knowledge.
For all ages from 6 years old upwards.

Cancellation or postponement with the right to a refund is only permitted with 7 days notice of the workshop date (contact info@sararainbowmagic.com).
If you wish to cancel or postpone your registration with less than 7 days’ notice, no refunds will be given.
